PUSH TO THE LIMITS

For the launch of a major game release that featured Arctic warfare, we created a three night press trip to Iceland where four journalists were pushed to their limits by a team of ex-military guides that were specialists in Arctic combat.

Having learnt the survival skills necessary to withstand the plunging temperatures, the group slept in expedition tents or self-dug snow holes on top of one of the largest glaciers in Europe.

During the day they learnt to scale a frozen waterfall using ice axes, crampons and ropes, and dared to plung below the surface into a spactacular ice cave. This adventurous group all agreed this was one of the most challenging but memorable experiences they had ever had.

REAL-LIFE SURVIVAL EXPERIENCE

To help promote the new Bear Grylls ‘Born Survivor’ series in continental Europe, we created a headline prize that saw a winner and four friends travel to the UK in order to enjoy a bespoke four-day survival course in the wilderness.

Here they learnt how to create shelters to sleep in using only material from the natural environment and how to live off the land by foraging, wilderness fishing and cooking on an open fire created by friction.

The group were lead by an ex-Royal Marine guide who is an expert in jungle and desert survival and ensured they all enjoyed the thrill of a real-life ‘Born Survivor’ experience.

For a group of international CEOs that had been almost everywhere and got the proverbial T-shirt, we created a unique itinerary in Namibia, where the action started the moment they had disembarked their international flight.

Having boarded helicopters for a flight along the mesmerising Skeleton Coast, they then landed on top of the highest mountain in the country and enjoyed dinner watching the sun go down before spending the night over 2,500 metres above sea level.

Over the course of the next four days the group enjoyed a series of unique leadership training sessions in some of the most unusual settings imaginable, interspersed with activities that ranged from tracking black rhino on foot to sand boarding down some of the largest dunes in Africa.

GOD OF ROCK + GOD OF ACTION PRIZES

For the release of the latest Gods of War game, we created two stand-out prizes. The “God of Rock” prize included a top-spec LCD TV, electric guitar, amp and rock-lighting to turn the winner’s bedroom into the ultimate rock-god crash pad.

The “God of Action” prize sent the winners to the home of the gods - Greece - for an action packed holiday that included an array of white-knuckle activities, including some thrilling rafting in the very gorge where Zeus once bathed.

HOLIDAY IN PICTURESQUE PUGLIA

To celebrate the passionate and homely Italian cooking found at Zizzi’s restaurants, we created a warm welcome for two prize winners in Puglia, a region in the south east of Italy that is famous for its delicious regional cuisine.

Once there we arranged for the winners to experience some traditional olive pressing and receive professional tuition from a local expert, so they could prepare their own homemade pasta and regional dishes for an unforgettable taste of Puglia.

LUXURY TRIP TO THE BIG APPLE

To celebrate the release of the new Richard Gere movie, Brooklyn’s Finest, Shortlist Magazine wanted a prize that would have a broad appeal and showcase the best of the Big Apple.

HOLLYWOOD STAR-STRUCK PRIZE

To celebrate the launch of its Drive-in Movie events this summer, RAC challenged the public to recreate their favourite film scenes and we supplied a prize which got their pulses racing! The amazing 5-night stay in Los Angeles included a behind-the-scenes tour of the Warner Bros Studios, where they could brush shoulders with their heroes.

And where else would a movie producer stay, than at the hip Grafton on Sunset hotel in West Hollywood. Truly a prize with star quality.

ACTION HERO TRIP TO NEW YORK 

To promote the action packed movie Green Zone, we created a white-knuckle ride of a prize. The lucky winner was sent to New York, where they were schooled in the ways of the action-hero at NYC’s top stunt school, driven around in a Counter Terrorist style SUV and experienced a thrilling helicopter ride over the city.

Even action heroes have down time; so a day tour of Washington’s most famous sites and dinner in one of NY’s hottest restaurants were also included to provide the perfect finale.

FUN FAMILY HOLIDAY

Sky Box Office needed a family prize to celebrate Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang, so we created a fun family holiday that mirrored the rural good-life feel of the film.
